Assalamualaikum..
So, today I'm gonna write about Java Web Technologies. There are several types of technologies that are used in java web.

Servlet & Java Server Pages (JSP)

Servlet JSP
  • server side programming
  • written in Java
  • runs inside a servlet container     
  • Java Server Pages
  • JSP Elements :
    • Directives
    • HTML Comments
    • JSP Comments
    • Scripting Elements :               
      • Expressions
      • Scriptlets
      • Declarations

Apache Struts

Apache Struts
  • Struts framework is the implementation of Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern for the JSP.
  • Struts framework is suited for the application of any size.
  • The goal of Struts is to separate the model from view and controller.

Java Server Faces (JSF)

Java Server Faces (JSF)
  • It is a framework.
  • Helps the user easily build user interfaces for java web applications by assembling reusable components in a page.
  • JSF apps are event driven.
  • It uses MVC design pattern.
  • It is a vendor independent technology (standard to be supported by whole software industry).
